Yesterday was a delightful day! I went on a long overdue trip to one of my all time favourite spots in the UK. There really are some breath-taking scenic places to visit in this country, and Windermere certainly lives up to this! From the idyllic train journey, to the many shops and cafes, the luscious greenery and of course, beautifully-blue Lake Windermere itself; there really is something for everybody.
I packed plenty of remedies to see my through the scorcher of a day we had, as I am all about planning ahead! My list included: sun cream, personal fan, towel, sunglasses, sandwiches, and of course lots of water to keep hydrated!
My favourite part of the trip definitely had to be the wonderful boat cruise across Lake Windermere, as I had only ever seen small parts of it before on previous trips... Just goes to show that you don't need to travel abroad for your holidays in the summertime, we have it all here in Britain :) And for me, a trip to the Lakes was just what the doctor ordered!
I hope you all like my snap shots! There was much more to capture but I wanted to enjoy the day itself, and not just look like a tourist, haha :)
